The portraits from the series "In Your Eyes," are a continuation of my exploration of the role
of identity crisis during the pre-pubescent/adolescent period when a girl longs to be more of a
woman and less of a girl. I used full hair and makeup to create an identity for each adolescent
girl, so as to transform the girls into older versions of themselves. One can see in their expres-
sion, the complexities that these young women face in their daily lives.
This is apparent even with an acquired identity, because of how profound this period is in
their life.
