John H. Ruocco
NEWMARKET - John H. Ruocco Jr., 60, of Doe Farm Lane, formerly of Lynn,
Mass., died Wednesday, Oct. 20, 1999 at his home following a brief illness.
Born in Lynn, Mass., he was the son of the late John H. Ruocco Sr. and Ruth
E. (Lovett) Ruocco. He graduated from Lynn English High School and resided in
Lynn for many years until moving to Newmarket.
He was the owner and operator of Rock's Service, Electric Plumbing &
Heating for 20 years. He was previously employed at the General Electric
Company as an aircraft development analyst for 14 years and also was a
community development construction specialist in Exeter, N.H. for four years.
Mr. Ruocco was a Vietnam veteran having served in the Air Force as a
sergeant.
He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Newmarket, a life
member of the American Legion Post No. 32, the Disabled American Veterans Post
No. 13 Squamscott, a member of the Kiwanis Club in Exeter, a 50-year member of
the Boy Scouts of America and a member of the New Hampshire Rifle Association.
He was also an avid hunter and fisherman.
Mr. Ruocco was the husband of Claire A. (O'Connell) Ruocco.
In addition to his wife, survivors include a son, David J. Ruocco and his
wife, Laura, of East Kingston, N.H.; a daughter, Joyce A. Ruocco of Newmarket;
a brother, David M. Ruocco of San Diego, Calif.; a sister, Ruth E. Troy of
Lynn; two grandchildren, Ashley and Christopher Ruocco; and several nieces and
nephews.
