Joseph Ruocco has been involved in institutional, residential and commercial projects. Current assignments include: the Student Center at Cleveland State University in Cleveland, Ohio and the Iowa Institute of Biomedical Discovery at the University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa.

Recently, he was the associate partner-in-charge of the new Interfaith Center at Bryant University in Smithfield, Rhode Island; a new Major Athletic Facility at the State University of New York at Oneonta, New York; and a resort complex in Florida.

He also directed the design and construction of a new library at Middlebury College in Middlebury, Vermont;

, a multi-family condominium building in New York City; the Astor Place Residential Condominium Tower in New York City; the Sobel Residence in Sagaponack, New York; and the Jewish Children's Museum in Brooklyn, New York.

Mr. Ruocco has overseen the design of both the campus master plan and all campus buildings for Nanyang Polytechnic, a new university for 12,000 students in Singapore. Other academic projects include the John W. Berry Sports Center at Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire; and the Gymnasium/Field House at the State University of New York at Oneonta, New York.

Additionally, he oversaw the Ronald S. Lauder Foundation Offices and the Sony Entertainment Headquarters in New York City; the Convention and Exhibition Center and Bonnet Creek Golf Clubhouse at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida; and a series of office buildings in New Jersey and Texas. Mr. Ruocco joined Gwathmey Siegel in 1979 and was named an associate partner in 2000.
