She’s been a widow for 11 years, yet the bond she shares with her late husband, Maj. John Ruocco, a Marine combat pilot, has never been stronger or seemed more meaningful.
“I remember the first time I saw him,” Kim Ruocco, now 53, said. “We were undergrads at UMass Amherst and it felt like I had always known him. He was hilarious, funny, gregarious; the dark side was so well hidden.
