Research Activities

Director of the INFM Research Center “SOFT”. The research center is
devoted to the study of the microscopic dynamics of Soft Matter and
disordered materials. At present, the research center coordinates the
actions of almost 50 University scientists and employ a staff of 25
researchers.
Principal Investigator of the PRA2002 INFM project entitled "GenFDT".
Aim of the project is the experimental determination of the generalized
fluctuation-dissipation relation.
Leader of the University group “GLAS” (Liquid and Amorphous Solid
Group) at the department of Physics of the University of Roma “La
Sapienza” (4 researchers, 4 PhD student).
Participant to different projects funded by CNR, INFM, MURST.
Visiting scientist at the European Synchrotron Radiation Facility (ESRF)
for different periods since 1994.
Author of about 230 publications in international referred journals, among
which almost 50 publications in high impact factor journals (Nature,
Science, Physical Review Letters).
Invited speaker at about 35 international conferences.
Organizer different international conferences.
